The problem
AeroVita Agro is a new company from Opovo that sprays, feeds and seeds crops by drone across Serbia. Before the first call, a farmer wants to know what the job will cost, and the price depends on the service, the crop, the area and how far away the field is. No competitor had a calculator, and most gave prices only over the phone. As a new company, AeroVita had no referrals to lean on, so the site had to answer the price question itself and make the first contact easy.
How I fixed it
The work started with research on five competitor sites and data on what farmers search for on Google. That research set the site structure: a page for every service and every crop. The calculator sits at the centre. A farmer picks the service, crop, area and location and gets an estimate calculated by the same rules as the price list. From the result, one tap places a call, opens Viber or WhatsApp, or sends an inquiry with the calculation already in the message.
What I built
- A calculator that follows the price list: the per-hectare rate drops as the area grows, orchards, vineyards and vegetables carry a surcharge, and packages of 3 and 5 treatments are discounted. New clients get the first hectare free on an order of at least 10 ha.
- Travel cost is part of the estimate. Road distance from Opovo is precomputed for 4,315 places in Serbia, so the calculator knows what the trip to any field costs.
- From the estimate, a farmer goes straight to a call, Viber, WhatsApp or an inquiry form with the calculation filled in.
- 68 pages in Serbian and English: one for every service and crop, with hreflang and structured data, plus a blog on crop protection and feeding.
- Inquiries arrive by email through a spam-protected form. Google Analytics runs only after cookie consent and records every calculator estimate.
What it changed
- Farmers know the price before the first call, so the conversation can go straight to scheduling.
- Inquiries arrive with everything needed for a quote: service, crop, area, location and the estimate.
- Every service and crop has a page that matches a specific search, such as "drone spraying corn", in both languages.
